Three of our four vacuum coating machines are able to carry out ‘Reactive Aluminium Oxide Deposition’ to produce transparent barrier films.

Our bespoke process at Ultimet Films Limited has been developed internally along with all of the control and quality systems. This ensures that consistent barrier is maintained on the final product.

High purity materials are utilised, which are evaporated at various partial pressures. Reactive gases are introduced into the evaporate vapour stream and resulting coatings condense onto the substrate, which is supported on a cooled drum. Automatic deposition control systems maintain coating uniformity for a precision finish.
